What's The Process?

Simply get in touch with us so we can get to know you and schedule you for a trial visit.

Forms

Once you have completed your trial visit and have decided you would like to continue as a volunteer you will fill out our Match2 Application, as well as required Dept. of Corrections forms and training documents.

Orientation

The orientation is mandatory and hosted by the correctional facility. You must attend orientation before you can be matched. We will schedule you for orientation after your trial visit.

Match

Finally, you will be matched with an inmate. Commit to visit once a month for one year or
throughout your match’s confinement, encouraging and supporting them through your visitation.

Volunteer applicants must:

• be at least 21 years old
• have photo identification
• not be an immediate family or friend of any inmate at their facility of visitation
• not be under DOC Supervision or under indictment for felony
• successfully pass a criminal background check

Why Volunteer?

I feel M-2 is valuable to me because I have gained one more friend who visits and has been a very good influence and blessing because of his encouragement to better myself. I also get to hear about his family and how they interact which helps me strive to work on my own family relations.
